What is Render Network?

The Render Network is the leading provider of decentralized GPU based rendering solutions, revolutionizing the digital creation process. Founded in 2016 by Jules Urbach, CEO of OTOY, Render is the next step in his dream of the open metaverse.

With Headquarters in Los Angeles, CA and a team based around the globe, the Render Network and those behind it have been growing from strength to strength in the years since its establishment. Why render on The Render Network? Because the future is being built today and hardware limitations should not be what keeps you from being a part of the new digital renaissance. Render puts the power of GPU rendering at your fingertips, at a fraction of the cost and speed of in-house rendering.

The Render Network is designed to connect users looking to perform render jobs with people who have idle GPUs to process the renders. Owners would connect their GPUs to the Render Network in order to receive and complete rendering jobs using OctaneRender. Users would send RNDR to the individual performing the render work and OTOY would receive a small percentage of RNDR for facilitating the transaction and running the Render Network. Once they’ve registered their idle GPUs on the Render Network, these GPU owners become “Node Operators” and are able to earn RNDR Tokens.

What is RNDR Token?

RNDR is an ERC-20 token which serves as the utility token used to pay for animation, motion graphics, and VFX rendering on the Render Network. The Render Network is a provider of decentralized GPU-based rendering solutions.

The project consists of three major components working in conjunction:

• (a) creators,

• (b) node operators, and

• (c) OctaneRender.

Using the Render Network, creators can tap into GPU power to render final images at higher speeds and lower costs than previously available. Node operators rent out their spare GPU to creators and receive RNDR tokens for time spent rendering.

Creators

Whether you're a graphics artist, mechanical engineer, AR/VR/XR visionary, architect or studio modeler, if you make digital visuals, you're a Creator.

Creators are those whose vision is only limited by the power at their disposal, which is where Render Network provides a solution. Through the Render Network, Creators can tap into GPU power beyond their doorstep, rendering final images at higher speeds and lower costs than previously available. You can login with your OTOY account and start rendering at rndr.x.io.

Node operators

Maybe you're a hardware enthusiast with GPUs to spare, or maybe you're a cryptocurrency guru with a passing interest in VFX. If you've got GPUs that are sitting idle at any time, you're a potential Node Operator who can use that GPU downtime to earn RNDR.

Node Operators register their GPUs to the Render Network to be "rented out" by Creators in need of additional power, and get paid RNDR tokens for time spent rendering.
